Finistack publishes a weekly article about personal finance and the US economy. This page explains who writes it, how it’s researched, and what it is and isn’t.

Who’s behind it

Finistack’s articles are written and edited by the Finistack team. Editorial decisions, including what each week’s article covers and whether it’s accurate enough to publish, rest with us. Questions and corrections: support@finistack.com.

Who Fini is

Fini is Finistack’s brand voice, not a person. Articles are bylined to Fini because that’s the character the app speaks in. Fini is not a financial adviser and has no credentials, and we’d rather say that plainly than let a friendly name imply otherwise.

How articles are researched

Each week’s article starts from current reporting and primary data: Bureau of Labor Statistics releases, Federal Reserve announcements, and coverage from established financial outlets. Every figure we quote is sourced, and every article ends with a list of the sources used, linked so you can check them yourself. We write about the week the article is published, and we don’t update old articles silently; if we correct something material, we say so in the article.

How AI is used

Articles are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by a person before publication. Nothing publishes automatically. We disclose this on every article rather than burying it, because you deserve to know how what you’re reading was made.

What this isn’t

Nothing on this site is personalised financial advice. We don’t know your situation, your tax position, or your goals. We aim to explain what’s happening and what questions it raises for your money, so you can make your own decisions or take a better-informed question to a professional. For decisions that matter, talk to a certified financial adviser.

Corrections

If you spot an error, email support@finistack.com. We’ll fix it and note the correction in the article.
